Anna Barlage, MA, LMFT

Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist

Anna has a Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Saint Mary’s University, a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from the University of Minnesota and completed the Postpartum Support International’s Perinatal Mood Disorders training in 2017. She is a licensed Mental Health Professional in the state of Minnesota and enjoys treating children, adolescents and adults. She has a wide variety of experience including working on an inpatient mental health unit, providing crisis assessments for children, adolescents and adults, being a program lead in an intensive day program for those with eating disorders and working in an integrative mental health setting.

After gaining experience in a wide variety of therapeutic settings and with a wide variety of issues she came to realize her passion in women’s health, wanting to support women throughout their lifespan. She has a special interest in treating anxiety disorders, depression and relationship difficulties as well as working with clients who would like to improve their relationship with food. She also finds it an honor to support women throughout their childbearing years with issues including infertility, perinatal and postnatal depression and anxiety, life transitions and loss.

Anna works to remove barriers and stigma around mental health care, seeing emotional balance and self-understanding as integral to overall health and wellness. She integrates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) with mindfulness and narrative therapy. When not living her passion as a therapist she is employed full time as the mother of two young children, enjoys doing yoga and spending time outdoors in the sunshine.
