Are you looking to expand your knowledge around homebirth and how your doula role will change in these unique birth settings? Whether you’ve been a doula for years or you’re just getting started this dynamic workshop will lead you through all you need to know to support your homebirth clients in a collaborative and impactful way.

In this 2-hour workshop we will cover:

  • Define and understand the different homebirth midwife providers, scope of practice, and licensure.

  • Evidence and information on safety of homebirth

  • Role play scenarios that are both common and rare at homebirths. Longer births, fast births, transfers and what to do in an emergency.

  • Understand scope creep in homebirth settings and how to comfortably remain in scope during homebirths and transfer situations

  • Learn creative techniques to support comfort during labor for unmedicated home birthers.

  • Strategize on how to manage siblings at births.
