Carrie Klakeg // Massage Therapist
My name is Carrie Klakeg. I graduated from Northwestern Health Sciences University in 2006. Soon after became a Certified Prenatal Massage Therapist, including labor support. After having my son in 2016 I decided to pursue my passion for Mother’s in the childbearing year further by completing birth and postpartum doula training. Earlier this year I became a Certified Infant Massage Instructor and completed Level One of Craniosacral Therapy training through Upledger Institute.
I’ve worked at Children’s Hospital since 2011, where I first assisted with the Fetal Surgeries and many other neonatal procedures. With my growing knowledge of these procedures I love to support high risk families through their birthing and postpartum journeys. It’s close to my heart, as I was high risk myself, and now a specialty of mine through my business Nurtured Phoenix Bodywork and Birth. It is my mission that no one completely loses their desired birth and postpartum passage due to being high risk or unexpected fetal anomalies. I will be your bridge between the medical and holistic worlds during this precious time.
