About Your Educator: Kristen Mollan has a Masters in Public Health and is an American Red Cross (ARC) Certified Instructor. She’s a certified birth doula and the current president of The Childbirth Collective.

During this class, you will gain confidence to manage emergencies for infants and children, and the knowledge to prevent many of them from happening in the first place. Participants will practice hands-on chest compressions, breaths, and choking relief using infant and child manikins, guided by our educator, Kristen Mollan.

You will learn and practice:

  • What to do for an unresponsive infant or child and when to call 9-1-1

  • How to perform CPR on an infant or child 

  • How to help a choking infant or child 

  • Basic first aid for common childhood conditions

  • Best practices for preparing your home for safety

This course is perfect for parents, caregivers, family members, babysitters or nannies who want lifesaving knowledge but don’t require a first aid certificate. 

Kristen is an American Red Cross Certified Instructor and uses content from the Red Cross. She also holds a Masters of Public Health degree in Maternal and Child Health.

This is not a certification class. Certifying classes require an extra in-person skills assessment. If you are in need of certification, please reach out!
